Brain Frequency Chart

Each binaural beats brainwave audio is unique in its own right and the effect it has on your mind state will depend on the frequency range embedded within the recording.

Just the slightest difference in brain frequency range will produce drastically different results.

There are four main frequency classifications but these are very large and very vague. In order to get specific and unique results the frequency range must be broken down to a much smaller category. It is difficult to know the exact frequency range embedded in different binaural beats downloads because the companies want to protect their products. However the chart below gives a broad range of frequencies and what they are associated with.

Brain Frequencies

Name Frequency Range Associated With
Beta Brain Waves 13 to 40 Hz Active, busy or anxious thinking and active concentration
Alpha Brain Waves 7 to 13 Hz Relaxation while still awake
Theta Brain Waves 4 to 7 Hz Dreams, deep meditation, hypnosis
Delta Waves < 4 Hz Deep dreamless sleep

These frequency ranges and their associated behaviours and mental states have been determined over years of extensive studies. Each of the above larger frequency ranges can be broken down into small frequencies that each affect different parts of the conscious mind as well as the subconscious mind.

As studies have shown that different combinations of frequencies produce very different effects you are able to get brainwave entrainment recordings for a multitude of different mind states and health benefits. Just a few of the popular brainwave audios are:

  • lucid dreaming
  • better sleep
  • improved memory
  • find love
  • astral projection
  • endorphin release

There are lots of other choices and which one you use will depend on your needs and what you want to experience. The majority of brainwave audios are quite short and the benefits are usually felt very quickly. They are one of the fastest ways to work with your brainwave frequencies and tap directly into your subconscious mind.

Although some people try to create binaural beats downloads on their own, it takes a certain amount of knowing and expertise to truly create a specific and unique recording that is able to target one particular mind state.

We get all of our binaural beats and isochronic tones brainwave entrainment products from The Unexplainable Store. See our Binaural Beats Unexplainable Store Review for more information on how they work and which ones can benefit you the most.

This is a great website and an informative article among many I have read here. I created my own binaural beats with stacked frequencies and the explanations here are excellent. Using the Oster’s Curve I have effectively been able to concentrate on certain brainwaves which I have found very effective. Thank You!

Binaural beats are very effective. Only last night I tried a deep sleep recording. I slept very well and had a good nap after the sleep too. I also noticed a profound difference in my body and mind awareness. I could feel my body close and yet there was a sense of distance. Inside my mind too the was a sense of space. Rather than having my eyes directly in front of me there seemed to be a 3D feel between them.

As you say different frequency have different effect. Im going to explore and see which is best for me.

Thanks for the information. It will help me find what Im looking for.
