Hi Joann,
As far as I understand the only reason given for children not to use binaural beats is because they are at a higher risk for seizures and it is possible for an external stimuli such as binaural beats to trigger a seizure in a child. However from what I have read the risk is very minimal and it can be just as likely that a seizure in a child is triggered from TV and video games. I am definitely not an expert on children using binaural beats though and would suggest checking with a medical practitioner beforehand if you decide to go ahead and try binaural beat therapy with your son.
Hope that helps. Good luck to you.

Hi,

I have an 8 year old son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and as an alternative to medicine I am researching Binaural Beat therapy. I read your site and you do not suggest children should listen unless supervised by a practitioner. I would like to know the harm listening might cause. Can you please elaborate on your findings?
